Terms of Use

What this is

Runsheet is a free, browser-based tool for building television production rundowns. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The service

Runsheet is built and maintained by an independent developer. The app is provided "as is" with no guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or availability. We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Your data and backups

Your runsheets are stored in your browser's local storage by default. We don't have access to local data and can't recover it if it's lost. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use a different device, your local runsheets won't be there. Use the export feature to back up anything you want to keep.

If you sign in with your email, your runsheets are also synced to the cloud. Cloud sync is optional and your browser always keeps a local copy regardless of whether you're signed in.

Smart Build (AI feature)

When you use Smart Build, the text or file you provide is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a runsheet structure. The output is AI-generated and may not be accurate. Always review the results before using them in production.

Reasonable use

Smart Build is provided as a convenience and is subject to reasonable use. We reserve the right to limit or restrict access to the AI feature if usage is excessive, automated, or places an unreasonable burden on the service. What constitutes reasonable use is at our sole discretion. Abusive or automated usage (including but not limited to scripted requests, bots, or bulk generation) may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access to the feature.

Future changes to AI features

Smart Build is currently offered at no cost. However, we reserve the right to introduce usage limits, tiered access, or paid plans for AI-powered features at any time. If we make changes to pricing or access, we'll provide reasonable notice on this page. Continued use of the feature after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of Runsheet. This includes lost data, missed timings, inaccurate AI output, or any other issue related to the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

The short version

Runsheet works without an account. Your runsheets stay in your browser by default. If you choose to sign in for cloud sync, we store your email address and your runsheet data on our servers. Data also leaves your device when you use Smart Build.

What's stored locally

All your runsheets, drafts, and preferences are saved in your browser's local storage. If you're not signed in, this data never leaves your device and we have no way to access it. It stays on your computer unless you choose to export it.

Cloud sync (optional)

If you sign in with your email, your runsheets are synced to our cloud database hosted on Supabase. We store your email address for authentication and your runsheet data for sync. Your browser always keeps a local copy. You can sign out at any time and continue using Runsheet without an account.

What Smart Build sends

When you use the Smart Build feature, the content you provide (pasted text or uploaded file) is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API. This is used solely to generate a runsheet structure. Your content is not stored on our servers and is not used for AI model training.

Analytics

We use Vercel Speed Insights to understand basic performance metrics like page load times. This collects anonymous, aggregated data and does not track individual users or use cookies for identification.

Third parties

Anthropic (Claude API) receives your content only when you use Smart Build. Anthropic's use of that data is governed by their privacy policy.

Supabase provides authentication and cloud database hosting for users who sign in. If you use cloud sync, your email and runsheet data are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's handling of that data is governed by their privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Runsheet is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
